Default Re: Manual to insert Server for USB

This file is for use with all Amiko HD series receivers (Amiko Micro, Mini, 8140, 8240, 8360, 8840 etc.) - please note this is NOT for use with Spark based receivers.

This hsdata.cfg file is a simple file that can be opened and altered with any text editor (Notepad etc. Notepad++ highly recommended) and will allow you to change various options including the addition of 8 client protocol connections (7 regular visible connection and 1 hidden connection) plus change the password and hidden options of the Net Config menu.

For use first download and extract the hsdata.cfg file then edit to your requirements, further instructions are contained within the file itself. Note that a # at the start of any new line within this file means that the data will be ignored so ensure that you remove the # first if you wish for this line of data to be recognised by the receiver when you load the file.

To actually load the hsdata.cfg file on to you receiver first make the above changes as required then put the file in the root of a FAT32 formatted USB stick and insert the stick into any of the receivers USB ports. Now go to Menu > Internet > Net Client Config > Press the FIND button (top right on remote control third button down - NOT the 0 key!). You will be asked 'Do you want to read config data from usb?' - Select Yes and within a second or 2 the file will be read and you should hopefully have a success message (if not check file and contents and that USB is fully inserted etc.).
