Synopsis TV series (1989-1996). 7 seasons. 93 episodes. "Tales from the Crypt" began airing on television in 1989 with intent to vindicate the horror genre with the same romance that made "The Twilight Zone" Rod Serling in the decade of the 50s and 60s. The stories were adaptations of horror comics collection that the publisher EC Comics had published in the '50s, in which the characters were seen as facing more tetrico destinations and where each story was submitted by "The Guardian of the Crypt" , great horror host, commenting gory details of each story and even teased readers with irony. This way of introducing the comic was preserved in the TV series in which each episode is' cadaverous preceded by a doll, which is an excellent version of which appeared in the original stories of paper..
